PT TIMAH Supports Village Healthcare Facilities by Renovating Berok Community Health Post

CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk has provided assistance for the renovation of the Integrated Health Service Post (Posyandu) in Berok Village, Koba District, Central Bangka Regency, as part of its efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services for the local community.

The Posyandu renovation is part of PT TIMAH's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which focuses on addressing the basic needs of communities within the company's operational areas.

Through this initiative, PT TIMAH hopes to make the Posyandu in Berok Village more suitable and comfortable, enabling healthcare services—particularly for pregnant women, children under five, and the wider community—to be delivered more effectively.

Afif Fauzi, a representative of the Berok Village Government, expressed his appreciation for PT TIMAH's commitment to supporting the development of healthcare facilities in the village.

According to Afif, the assistance will be used to renovate and repair the Posyandu building, which has suffered significant damage, including a leaking roof and partially collapsed ceiling, reducing the comfort of residents attending the monthly healthcare services.

"The building is indeed in need of repairs. This assistance is very meaningful because it will be used to renovate the Posyandu, allowing healthcare services for the community to be provided in a more comfortable environment," he said on Monday (June 29, 2026).

Afif hopes that once the renovation is completed, more residents will feel comfortable utilizing the Posyandu, which serves as one of the village's essential facilities for supporting maternal and child health.

"With this assistance, the village government will be able to provide a better Posyandu building so that the community can feel more comfortable when attending the monthly healthcare services," he said.

The renovation of the Posyandu reflects PT TIMAH's ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life of communities within its operational areas by implementing programs that deliver tangible benefits in healthcare, education, economic empowerment, social development, and environmental sustainability.
