CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT TIMAH Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting community development across its operational areas. Most recently, the company provided assistance for the construction of a Neighborhood Security Post (Pos Kamling) for the residents of Kulur Village, Central Bangka Regency, on Friday (June 26, 2026).
The assistance is part of PT TIMAH’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in the social and community development sector, aimed at creating a safer and more comfortable environment while encouraging greater community participation in maintaining public order within the village.
The assistance was officially handed over to Kulur Village Head Ahmad Yani on Friday (June 26, 2026). The support reflects the strong collaboration between the company and the village government in developing public facilities that directly benefit the local community.
Kulur Village Head Ahmad Yani expressed his appreciation for PT TIMAH’s continued commitment to supporting the community through various social programs. According to him, the company has made meaningful contributions to improving the well-being of local residents.
He noted that PT TIMAH has provided a wide range of assistance to the village, including food aid packages, Mobile Health Clinic services, sacrificial livestock donations during Eid al-Adha, and various other social initiatives that have positively impacted the community.
"Through the assistance provided by PT TIMAH, our community has experienced improved well-being, as these programs have helped stimulate local economic activity. We have truly benefited from the company's support," Ahmad Yani said.
He explained that the existing Neighborhood Security Post in Kulur Village has not been able to operate at its full potential due to limited supporting facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, the construction assistance is expected to enhance the post's function as a center for community security activities.
"With this assistance, we hope the Neighborhood Security Post can be utilized optimally to improve security services for our residents. We also wish PT TIMAH continued success and hope the company will continue fostering a harmonious relationship with the village community," he said. (*)
