KARIMUN -- PT TIMAH Tbk’s commitment to supporting the development of religious facilities in its operational areas continues through assistance for places of worship. This time, the company provided support to Al Amin Prayer Hall, located in Sawang Laut Village, West Kundur District, Karimun Regency.
The assistance was used to construct a fence around the prayer hall, which previously did not have a permanent boundary. The presence of a fence is considered important in creating a more comfortable, secure, and well-organized environment for worshippers.
The Head of Al Amin Prayer Hall, Syahrial, said that PT TIMAH’s assistance significantly helped accelerate the construction of the fence, which had long been planned by the local community.
“Alhamdulillah, we received assistance from PT TIMAH. Previously, there was no permanent fence around the prayer hall. Currently, the fence is being built on the left and right sides of the building,” he said.
According to Syahrial, the fence is particularly necessary because residential homes are located directly adjacent to both sides of the prayer hall. The new fence helps create a cleaner, more organized environment and provides greater comfort for worshippers attending prayers and various religious activities.
“The fence also serves to clearly define the boundaries of the prayer hall area. Its presence makes the environment more orderly and comfortable,” he explained.
Al Amin Prayer Hall is not only used for daily worship activities but also serves as a center for religious education and community development. Every day, the prayer hall hosts Qur’an recitation sessions and Qur’anic Education Park (TPQ) activities, while approximately 30 to 40 worshippers regularly attend prayers.
Syahrial expressed his gratitude, noting that this is the first time Al Amin Prayer Hall has received assistance from PT TIMAH. He hopes the company will continue implementing social programs that provide tangible benefits to local communities.
“We would like to thank PT TIMAH for this assistance. It has been extremely helpful and has made us more comfortable in managing the prayer hall.
