PT TIMAH Strengthens Road Safety Awareness Through Collaboration with West Bangka Traffic Police

WEST BANGKA -- Efforts to improve road safety awareness and traffic discipline continue within PT TIMAH Tbk’s work environment. This time, the company collaborated with the Traffic Unit of the West Bangka Police (Satlantas Polres Bangka Barat) to provide road safety education for security personnel working within PT TIMAH’s Processing and Refinery Division.

The activity, conducted under the “Polantas Menyapa” (Traffic Police Outreach) program, took place at the PT TIMAH Security Office Courtyard on Wednesday (June 25, 2026).

West Bangka Police Traffic Unit Chief, AKP Ramos Gapita Siregar, who attended the event, stated that the program was part of the commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day and an effort to strengthen relationships between the National Police, the community, and partner institutions.

“Through this activity, we want to remind everyone of the importance of obeying traffic regulations for the safety of all road users. We also hope to strengthen our synergy with partners, including PT TIMAH’s security personnel,” he said.

During the session, participants received information on the importance of complying with traffic regulations, using proper safety equipment while driving, and increasing awareness to prevent traffic accidents.

Ramos expressed hope that the participants would become role models in promoting a culture of traffic discipline, both in the workplace and in their daily lives.

“We encourage all participants to always comply with traffic regulations. If they encounter traffic-related incidents, we hope they will promptly report them to the police so that appropriate action can be taken as quickly as possible,” he said.

Road safety education is considered essential because it helps improve discipline while minimizing the risk of accidents involving employees. (*)
