JAKARTA -- PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung (DAK), a subsidiary of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, has expanded its business synergy in the maritime sector by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim at the Harmonis Meeting Room of PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 1, 2026).
The signing of the MoU marks the initial step for both companies in developing a strategic partnership in maritime services, shipbuilding, and the utilization of shipyard facilities.
The event was attended by PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim President Director Budi Pratomo, Director of Operations and Commercial Nurhadi, Director of Finance, Human Resources, and Risk Management Roy F.H. Simanjuntak, Commissioner Akbar Ikhramsyah, PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung President Director Daswir Syarif, Director Anggun Wulandari, and the management teams of both companies.
The Memorandum of Understanding serves as the foundation for both companies to establish mutually beneficial and sustainable operational collaboration by leveraging each party's expertise, experience, and facilities.
The agreed scope of cooperation includes new shipbuilding, ship repair, maintenance and servicing, the provision, utilization, and management of shipyard facilities and supporting infrastructure. The partnership also covers ship docking and undocking services, ship conversion, modification, retrofitting, reconditioning, as well as steel construction fabrication and engineering services.
PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim President Director Budi Pratomo stated that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding marks an important milestone in strengthening collaboration among companies within Indonesia's maritime sector.
According to him, the collaboration represents a strategic step to maximize the business potential of both companies by utilizing their respective expertise, experience, and facilities.

PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim Commissioner Akbar Ikhramsyah also welcomed the partnership, noting that the collaboration between PT Pelindo Solusi Maritim and PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung will create added value for both companies as they continue to develop their maritime businesses.
Meanwhile, PT Dok dan Perkapalan Air Kantung President Director Daswir Syarif said that the collaboration opens new opportunities for the company to enhance its operational capabilities through the integration of shipyard facilities and the optimal utilization of resources owned by both parties.
