We recognize that open pit mining has a direct impact on the surrounding environment, with one of the consequences being the loss of vegetation that can affect oxygen availability and reduce carbon sequestration capacity. Therefore, we carry out the reclamation process as an effort to improve the land ecosystem and protect flora and fauna species.
During the reporting period, there were mine closures in several locations based on the results of the mining operation performance inspection by the Production Operations team. The division managing the post-mining rehabilitation is the HSE and Sustainability Division. The Company carries out post-mining reclamation practices by referring to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 1827K/30/MEM 2018 Appendix VI, containing Guidelines for the Implementation of Reclamation and post-mining and post-operation activities in mineral and coal mining businesses. The process of mine closure planning to post-mining reclamation is supervised through a mechanism that is routinely reported to the authorities following prevailing regulations.
Onshore Mine Reclamation
Post-mining management that has been prepared by the end of 2023 is respectively for the Bangka Regency IUP area, West Bangka Regency IUP, Central Bangka Regency IUP, South Bangka Regency IUP, Belitung Regency IUP, East Belitung Regency IUP, and Cross Regency IUP. Our Onshore reclamation is carried out using revegetation methodology with a potting system. [304-3]
